Project Jelly Roll 2025

Project Jelly Roll 2025

Jelly Rolls are a versatile, easy-to-use precut that caters to quilters of all skill levels. Since Moda unveiled the Jelly Roll in 2007, quilters have conserved numerous hours of cutting time.

This year Jelly Roll Day is to be held on Saturday September 20th and for the past few years we have participated. I thought I would show you what we have made to date and also highlight what is planned this year.

Fleur in 2023 made the Phoebe quilt by Kitchen Table Quilts and this is the quilt on the left of the photo. Using Ruby Star Society's Verbena fabric this quilt looks really great when spread out on a bed.

The centre quilt was also made in 2023 by me using Gingiber's Quaint Cottage fabric range. I decided upon the Moda freebie pattern released in the same year called Verticals.

The final quilt was done in 2024 using Sweetwaters Christmas Fabric 'On Dasher' and the pattern was the Contessa Quilt one of the 2024 free releases from Moda.

You can check out all the Moda free patterns using Jelly rolls here - including this year's releases which are called Anasazi, Luster and Shift.

Fleur and I are planning to participate this year - I'm opting for another free pattern - the Anasazi. Keep an eye out on our social media platforms to see our progress!
