I'm always admiring the ability of fabric designers to undertake free block of the month projects - its clever really as it's a way to promote their new fabric ranges that appear just before the program starts.
I have two in mind - although there are plenty of others - I will focus on Coriander Quilts (Corey Yoder) and A Quilting Life (Sherri McConnell) as I have their called for fabric ranges in stock (or about to come in!)
1. Coriander Quilts - Cali & Co fabric range. This kicks off mid-January 2025. Fabric requirements and further information can be found here. You will require a Fat Eighth Bundle of Cali and Co and fabric for the background/inner border, outer border and binding. 2. A Quilting Life - Luguna Sunrise or Raspberry Summer fabric range. This also starts in January 2025 - Patterns are shared on the first Monday of each month. Fabric requirements and further information can be found here. I've sewn the 2023 & 2024 mystery BOM projects from Sherri and the patterns are so easy to follow and you can usually complete the project in one sitting! Interestingly enough 2025 she has given you three finished quilt size options with the fabric requirements utilising layer cake and jelly roll pre-cuts plus a range of light prints for the background. How cool would it look to mix and match their ranges - Strawberry Lemonade, Laguna Sunrise & Raspberry Summer?
