We have lift off! The Rural Stitch Co was launched on Sunday December 4 with a small gathering of family, neighbours, friends and local quilters at the Killanoola Woolshed.
The Rural Stitch Co's home base is the historic Killanoola shearers quarters, Bool Lagoon, which is halfway between Naracoorte and Penola in the South East of South Australia. Killanoola is a cattle and sheep farm which I help run with my parents and was established back in 1846.
The Rural Stitch Co's main focus is around quilting and cross stitch, including, patterns, notions and even gift ideas for the avid crafter. As the name of the business suggests we will be focusing on a rural theme, including animals, primative/ rustic ideas and styling. Additionally, I love Christmas (as I'm a christmas day baby!) so we will have an emphasis on promoting the season all year long!!!
I hope the business evolves over time as I share my love of patchwork and cross stitching to a wider audience and at the same time learn from my customers on what their needs are!
